In 1980's the rock's face where is settled the religious building started to crumble and therefore going there become dangerous, so Japan gave a loan to Indonesian government to restore it, today the area being again a premier tourist destination. The museum is open every day, excepting Monday, and most sightseeing tours in Bali include it in their itineraries.
